Unheard Taste Poster
This poster design uses a modular grid and plays with color psychology to catch your eye. The images are placed asymmetrically, making the poster feel dynamic and visually engaging. It draws you in and keeps your attention in a fresh, unexpected way.

Objectives
The primary goal of this poster design is to highlight various foods from different cuisines in a unique and non-traditional manner, reflecting their "unheard" roots.
Role
Tools and Technologies
Approach
- The design approach for this poster embraces the "unheard" roots of various cuisines, calling for a non-traditional, asymmetrical composition.
- To achieve this, I employ a storyboarding technique often found in recipe books, where images are placed in an asymmetrical layout. This method allows for a visually engaging and dynamic presentation, highlighting the unique characteristics of each dish without adhering to rigid, symmetrical structures.
Design Process
Inspiration board
For every project I undertake, crafting an inspiration board is a crucial step. This board provides a preview of the initial poster's appearance. Once this is curated, I create a mood board to establish coherent and consistent visual guidelines.

Color Psychology
After setting up the inspiration board, I carefully selected a color palette using principles of color psychology. Since we're showcasing food, I chose red known for its ability to boost appetite.
This thoughtful selection ensures that the design not only looks appealing but also resonates with the theme of food. To maintain balance and visual appeal, I applied the 60-30-10 rule from interior design for the color hierarchy.

Grid System
After establishing the color palette, I move on to creating the grid system. I typically opt for a modular grid and set it to a 12x12 layout for enhanced control and flexibility.
This approach allows for precise placement of elements, ensuring a balanced and organized composition while accommodating the dynamic nature of asymmetrical designs

Final Output
Now it's time to bring everything together using the inspiration board, color palette, and modular grid system. Let's put our plan into action!
